Sekar has spent the majority of his 24 year career working in companies like Hewlett-Packard and Maxis in leadership roles. His experience
includes among others, managing business units with full P&L, sales and operational responsibilities, guiding his organisation through the 1997
Asian financial crisis and leading the integration efforts in Malaysia during the merger of two global IT giants in 2001.
As Director of Service Delivery at Hewlett-Packard Malaysia, he led his organisation to win the Computer World Malaysia "Best Support & Services" inaugural award in 2001 and again in 2002 against other industry IT giants.
In 2007, Sekar moved from the technology sector to work for a Khazanah Nasional agri-business start-up. As Director of Sales & Marketing, he spotted a gap in the market and led the creation of a new brand of packed fresh vegetables - probably a first in South East Asia in the targeted market segment.
In less than a year this new product category contributed 10% of total revenues and 30% of total margins.
Sekar joined Maxis, a leading telco in Malaysia in 2010 as General Manager - leading the USD150M Corporate Business and the Public Sector unit. He also led the Enterprise mobility product unit to create future revenue streams in the form of new enterprise mobility solutions.
Sekar is a proponent of educating employees on how businesses work so that they will be able to contribute effectively to the company's goals.
He has two books about the early days of Internet to his name and has written extensively on matters of leadership and management.
Sekar holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malaya and an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
Anwar has an extensive track record in the Venture Capital industry as well as being an entrepreneur .
His foray into the VC scene began when he co-founded a company for the manufacture of Lithium Polymer Batteries in Bologna, Italy. He later joined
a Frankfurt based VC firm responsible for deal sourcing, valuations and structuring where he has reviewed over 100 businesses (and plans) and negotiated 2
investment deals.
He returned to Malaysia in 2001 and then spent a 2 year period consulting in the areas of preparation of business plans for MSC status applications as well as
for MESDAQ listings. He has also successfully consulted for Teliti Computers to restructure the company, raise capital and positioning it for a listing. In 2004, Anwar was hired as a Senior Vice President at MAVCAP for “his real world" experience . He was entrusted with fast tracking funding to early stage
technology Companies and in 4 years closed 26 deals, including 2 mergers.
The investments were primarily in Malaysian companies, but included 2 US and 1 Singaporean company. In terms of exits, had 3 full and 2 partial exits for the
invested companies. Full exits included a MESDAQ listing for ISS Consulting Solutions Berhad in Aug 2005 and a US$25M sale of ADA Cellworks Sdn Bhd
to an Indian listed company GTL Group. During his stint at MESDAQ, Anwar also handled the shut-down of 2 companies.
In 2010, Anwar left MESDAQ to join Tune Hotels as their Director of Operations where he was reponsbile for overseeing all hotes under the Tune stable
in the region. he stayed for closed to 5 years.
Anwar left Tune Hotels in 2015 and recently co-authored a book entitled ‘Beyond Corporate Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurship as a Management Practice’ .
He now spends his time coaching & consulting on Entrepreneurship, implementation of 3P-T (People, Policy, Procedure & Technology) initiatives and
bringing back the entrepreneurial spirit into large organizations.
Anwar holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding from the University of Newcastle and an MBA from IMD Switzerland.
Raimee has more than 25 years experience value-adding businesses in Australia, Greece, Italy, Maldives and Malaysia.
With his vast international experience implementing strategies and solutions, Raimee has facilitated numerous companies to turn around, value-add and consequently reach another level of success.
He has held various CEO & CFO positions diversified companies in Australia and the Maldives and
also served as CEO of International Brass Industries Sdn Bhd, Malaysian Aluminium and Alloys Sdn Bhd
facilitating them to reach a level of sustainability.
In addition, Raimee has also sat on various Boards including stints as a Corporate Advisor to MB
Incorporated of Perak, the Chief Financial Officer of Malaysian Agrifood Corporation Berhad and the Chief
Executive Officer of Cold Chain Network Sdn Bhd.
He holds various professional accounting qualifications from the UK and a Bachelor in Accounting from
the University of Northumbria, UK. Raimee is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Yat Seng or YS has more than 25 years of leadership experience - 12 of which was in senior leadership roles within the IT services sector.
His expertise includes transforming businesses to maximize organization profits, driving revenue growth through the realization of sales channels full potential and the nurturing of a high performance organization pulling together for breakthrough financial results.
Since joining IBM in 1991, YS has led and driven business transformation and growth initiatives for IBM in Malaysia as well as the ASEAN region.
He has successfully turned around the Commercial Enterprise Business and drove 15 consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth, transformed the Financial Services Industry & Communication business unit to double the growth in its business revenues and profits within 2 years and has expanded IBM’s UNIX market share ranking in Malaysia from 4th to 2nd within 3 years.
His extensive CRM expertise coupled with his strategic planning skills and full resource mobility acumen led the sales team to close a substantial IT outsourcing deal with Affin Bank as well as winning back and expanding the business process outsourcing services at Singapore Airlines.
The regional Cloud Computing business unit has greatly benefited from his deep understanding of diversified business cultures across ASEAN and change management capability.
He achievements include transforming the pre-sales technical support team to a high performance sales organization that hit triple-digit year-on-year revenue and service signing growth consecutively over the past four years.
Prior to joining IBM, Yat Seng spent 2 years with Hewlett-Packard Malaysia as Production Engineer.
Yat Seng holds a First Class Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Malaya.
He is a proponent of lifelong learning and has attended professional programmes organized by renowned institutions such as Boston University, the Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
He has also earned recognition as a Certified International Coach Federation executive performance coach and was appointed as a Cloud SME & Sales Coach to the AP/ASEAN Client Experience Academy 2014.
